For the people who look after protected places

Expert help for your reserve’s hardest problems, working alongside your team.

Most reserves run on a few staff and volunteers who still answer to councils, regulators and funders. AI can now give your team the science, engineering and funding know-how of a large organisation. We take on your hardest problem, with your data, under your rules, and stay until it works.

Case study

North Devon: seeing where a sewage spill goes

Sewage overflows spill onto the beaches of the North Devon surf reserve. Nobody had built an ocean model of that coast, so nothing showed where a spill went. We built one. It covers 14 outfalls and 7 beaches and shows which beaches a spill can reach.

Model particles released from the Croyde sea outfall, spreading along the coast of North DevonCROYDEPUTSBOROUGHCROYDE SEA OUTFALL
One release from the Croyde sea outfall, tracked by the model. Prototype: nobody has checked it against a real spill yet.

How we work

  1. We start with your problem. We learn the place and the question that matters most to you now.
  2. We build what’s missing. With your data, your records and the science that fits your place.
  3. You keep it. We stay until it works, and you can run it without us.

More from the field

Chumbe Island, Zanzibar. We found 28 years of reef temperature records that existed only in annual PDF reports.

Devon to California. A method we built to find where beach meets vegetation worked on a California beach with no local training, to within 8.9 metres.

What travels

Each place makes the next one easier

What we learn at one place goes into shared tools and methods that any place can use. The place keeps its data, its decisions and its history.
